The first ever Wales International Festival of Entrepreneurship is taking place between 19th and 23rd May 2014 at Swansea University and hundreds of other venues across Wales. 

Swansea University is helping to support this event with a fantastic range of partners including University of Wales Trinity St David, Gower College, City and County of Swansea, Bangor University and the Regional Learning Hub.

There are literally hundreds of events and activities taking place across Wales during the week of the 19th - 23rd May 2014. Some of the highlights include:

  • The launch of a Lions Lair competition with schools in South Wales
  • Pop up incubators across Swansea. The City and County of Swansea is opening the doors to three key city centre locations for new start up companies to come and sell their wares
  • The first ever European Union (EU) Thematic Forum on the Entrepreneurial University at Swansea University
  • The United Nations (UN) Symposium on the Entrepreneurial Learning City at Swansea University

The first ever EU Thematic Forum on the Entrepreneurial University at Swansea University and the UN Symposium on the Entrepreneurial Learning City are both invite only events attracting key thought-leaders and influential people from all over the world.  These two events will offer a rare opportunity to get key decision makers together to discuss and consider the ways in which we encourage people to recognise and exploit opportunity.
